Qatar Star Services is not a novice in the catering business in the field of sporting event.

 

In 2006, we supplied 8,000 meals at the 15th Doha Asian Games, and in 2011, we delivered 1,000 meals at the Asian Football Cup.

 

In 2021, Qatar  Star Services was contracted by FIFA as the Master Food & Beverage Concessionaire for both FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 ™ and  FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ which operated concessions for the General Public, respectively, in six (06) stadia with 32 matches and in eight (8) stadia with 64 matches. 

 

At the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, we recruited over 6,000 people. The on-boarding process necessitated navigating a diverse culture, rigid training, and acclimating to the stadium. That in order for us to get to the point of serving more than three million spectators over the tournament period, we had to synchronize the logistics of food supply and workforce delivery amidst operational adjustments.

The food and beverages sold to consumers and tailor-made menus served to distinct guests went through a number of food tests that took into account the demographics of the consumers, their dietary needs, their purchasing power, and, of course, food safety regulations.

 

Overall, our experience at the FIFA drove us to re-enforce further our mitigation strategies during a mass event execution.

 

Prior to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, we managed the Volunteer Meals where we fed 20,000 FIFA volunteers, and the Kiosk operations for the Turkish Supercup, Lusail Super Cup and Lusail Bollywood Music Festival.
